I run a YouTube channel dedicated to the Steam Controller and Steam Input (called Critical Input) so I'm very familiar with the device. What I really miss in GOG Galaxy 2.0 right now is the feature in Steam client to. If you have any questions about the device or need further information, please don't hesitate to ask. To my knowledge, the biggest hurdle would be hiding or removing the controller's default output, which is the biggest problem that sc-controller currently faces.

There is already two developers who have experience reading the Steam Controller's input - one of which is already making a third party configuration software (sc-controller) for it - so hopefully knowledge could be pooled and this could get off the ground a bit faster. which dont have native controller support with your favorite joysticks and/or use. I would love to help the team, in any way necessary, support the SC and provide a utility to the SC community that isn't tied to a storefront/platform. 1261785 2018, CW, 16 episodes, View details. I've been looking for alternatives everywhere. Steams controller support is screwed up for steam link with Microsoft store games, and being able to use GoG 2.0 with a controller would let me get. I would even just like to be able to navigate the launcher with a controller. But.I can't use it because then my games aren't running through Steam and my controller becomes useless. As far as I know, Steam is the only other platform that does this, so that could help put galaxy a cut above the rest. I recently got to try out GOG Galaxy 2.0 and I absolutely love how it brings all of my games together in a single window. You see, I've supported DRM-free initiatives for a long time. But lately I've been getting tired of dealing with Steam Input's reliance on Steam. Also, I prefer the Steam Controller which is currently locked down to Valve's platform.

I've had my eye on reWASD for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger yet because Steam Input is free and has some features that I thought I couldn't part with. (Side note: I can get the correct icons when using the controller wired without any fiddling but didn't notice if the vibration worked. With DS4 Windows I can't get the vibration working and by running CP oir the launcher through steam I can't get the right icons, even though a game I bought through steam is correctly detecting that I am using a DS4.ĭone experimenting for the day but this is a bit of a farce to say the least. Haven't had any luck getting both working at the same time. Doing the same thing but launching from GOG launcher I get a working controller with the correct icons but now no vibration. By running DS4Windows and setting the output to DS4, running through steam gets me nothing, just doesn't detect that a controller is connected. Without changing anything I can load up either GOG Galaxy or Cyberpunk using my steam shortcuts that I added, with that I get a working controller with vibration but the wrong icons (shows the xbox ones). Only steam controller setting I have active is the Playstation controller support in steam. When using this setup in Monster Hunter World (which I purchased on Steam), everything works as it should, I have vibrations and the correct button icons. I chosed first to play with Mouse & Keyboard but after a while and thought lets give the Game Controller a go. That way I wouldnt have get up and use the mouse and keyboard whenever I play a game with a gamepad controller. Id like to be able to use GOG Galaxy on my television screen while I using a gamepad to navigate my games.
